The Pima Village is clearly on the loss of their cultural elements, including language and rituals as Yúmare. It is this urgent need to rescue their original culture will be developed by the 1st training workshop for the rescue and promotion of heritage Pima culture, to be verified from 11 to 13 May in Santorini Hall Hotel Mirador, from 10:00 to 19:00. This is an invitation from the Government of the State of Chihuahua through the Chihuahua Institute of Culture and the Regional Unit of Popular Cultures Chihuahua National Council for Culture and the Arts, through its Cultural Development program Yoreme.
Since 2009 has worked with the Pima people and their traditional authorities in shaping the record "The Yúmare of O'oba (low highland Pima) and the oral tradition" for inclusion in safeguarding list UNESCO urgent. Furthermore, it has developed a work plan that includes various efforts to rescue and preservation of culture pima.
As it is very important that indigenous people themselves are responsible for registering their heritage Pimas were invited to 20 different communities in the municipalities of Madeira and Temósachi, with the aim of making them (during the workshop) Tools theoretical, methodological and techniques to facilitate the detection and recording of the core elements of its culture, and the same to be their link with the institutions to encourage cultural projects in your community.
The themes covered in the workshop are: ethnic identity, the role of promoting indigenous cultural heritage, heritage protection, investigation techniques and handling of equipment (cameras and recorders reporters).
